Erik ten Hag target rejects contract offer as Man United enter discussions with Tottenham Hotspur
Erik ten Hag’s January striker target Serhou Guirassy has rejected a new contract offer from VfB Stuttgart, according to reports.
Manchester United are in dire need of goals in the coming months, with Erik ten Hag having set his sights on Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy in the January transfer window.
Guirassy has been fantastic for VfB Stuttgart this season, scoring 18 goals and providing two assists in just 14 appearances this season, and could be exactly what Ten Hag needs in his front line as the club attempts to break into the Premier League top four.

The 27-year-old has a £15 million release clause in his contract that United are reportedly interested in activating, according to German transfer expert Christian Falk – and the player has reportedly rejected a new contract offer from his current side.
It is said that Stuttgart offered Guirassy fresh terms that would see them buy his release clause off him, but the player rejected the offer, and he is ready for the “next step” in his career, with both Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund also interested.
Meanwhile, United are set to enter negotiations over the future of loan signing Sergio Reguilón, who was drafted in during deadline day last summer due to injuries to Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw.
According to ESPN, United will talk with Tottenham Hotspur about Reguilón’s future in January, as there is a break clause in the deal that could cut the loan short to six months.
However, with Shaw being substituted with a hamstring injury during United’s 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening, it is said that the club want to find out the extent of his problem before entering discussions with Spurs.
