Jadon Sancho is on a “personal training programme” at Manchester United after his feud with Erik ten Hag.

This was what Manchester United confirmed in their latest statement regarding the player after Jadon Sancho released a statement, that has since been deleted, claiming he was being ‘scapegoated’ at the club.

Although the player has since deleted the statement across his social media pages, it has been decided that he will remain away from the squad until he offers an apology to Erik ten Hag – he will not feature against Brighton.

It is claimed by ESPN that Sancho feels he is being treated differently from other players in the squad and that Ten Hag is not backing down on his stance.

Speaking in his pre-Brighton press conference, Ten Hag refused to refer to Jadon Sancho by name: “I think everything is said (about Sancho).

“The squad is strong, in good spirits and a good mood going into the game [against Brighton].”

Further to this, Ten Hag clarified: “It is never someone makes one mistake, it is a whole process before you come to a certain outcome about strict lines. There is a structure to cross lines so you have to be strong.”

The latest reports suggest that Sancho is open to leaving United in the January transfer window, with both Nottingham Forest and Borussia Dortmund listed as potential destinations.
