Erik ten Hag has received a concerning injury concern about one Manchester United star during the international break.

Manchester United are currently struggling in 14th place in the Premier League, with increasing calls for Erik ten Hag’s dismissal after a series of disappointing performances.

The team has only secured two wins in their last six matches—a commanding 7-0 win over Barnsley and a 3-0 triumph against Southampton, where André Onana’s crucial penalty save was pivotal.

Draws with FC Twente and FC Porto, along with heavy 3-0 home defeats to Liverpool and Tottenham, have cast serious doubt on Ten Hag’s future. While a recent draw with Aston Villa has temporarily eased the pressure, speculation about his position remains strong.

Despite expectations that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the United board would part ways with Ten Hag after their latest meeting, reports now suggest the Dutch manager will remain in charge for the time being.

However, pressure remains with the United boss, who needs to get results as soon as possible. But he might be concerned about the latest developments over the international break.

Rasmus Højlund’s international break concern

Rasmus Højlund has recently returned from a hamstring injury he sustained during the club’s pre-season tour in the summer.

The striker was included in Denmark’s squad for international fixtures this month but admitted last week that he was not ready to play 90 minutes for his nation.

Instead, he appeared for just 12 minutes in their 1-0 defeat against Spain on Saturday.

Now, a new report from Danish outlet Bold has claimed that the United forward missed the training session on Sunday, with potential doubts over his fitness.

This could simply be a precautionary move from Denmark boss Morten Wieghorst, with the report unable to provide a definitive reason form his absence.

But it will certainly be something that Ten Hag and those at United will be paying attention to, with several other stars suffering issues in recent weeks.
