Eberechi Eze heaps praise on Manchester United loan star after England duty, “This guy’s on some other stuff…”

Eberechi Eze has sung the praises of Manchester United loan star Marcus Rashford amid the England international’s stunning form at Barcelona.

Arsenal forward Eberechi Eze shares how impressed he is with former Manchester United star Marcus Rashford after recently spending time with him training for England during the November international break.

Since signing a season-long loan with Barcelona during the summer transfer window, Rashford has been in fantastic form, with people returning to praising the 28-year-old’s high standards.

It’s becoming increasingly likely that the United loanee will join Barcelona permanently in the summer, with an option in his deal to be signed for £26 million, switching the Premier League for La Liga.

The 68-capped England international has even found his way back into the England circuit, with it looking very likely that he will join Thomas Tuchel’s squad this summer in America for the World Cup.

Eze on Rashford’s standout sessions

Despite Rashford’s deal technically having a temporary clause, he has shone under Camp Nou’s lights, scoring six goals and accumulating nine assists for the Spanish side across all competitions. This statistic has made him the only player with this number of assists across all of the top four leagues in Europe.

Stats like this are what have earned Rashford his place back in the England squad, with him attending the two most recent camps this November. A successful run for the Lions, winning their two most recent matches with a 2-0 scoreline. The team easily made their way through their group, racking up a goal difference of 22.

This strong team unity seen in the matches has also carried over off the pitch, with Arsenal No. 10 Eze sharing that Rashford was a standout player during training sessions in a recent episode of the podcast Beast Mode On.

He spoke about the Utd loanee sharing the long relationship the two players have had, “So I’ve known him [Rashford] because he’s playing in similar age groups across the country. When you go to tournaments, you’ll see him and stuff like that.

“And so I’ve always known he’s a good player, but from that first camp, I remember going away like, okay, this guy’s on some other stuff.

“The way he strikes the ball, the way he runs with the ball, the way he operates, he’s an incredible, incredible player, someone who, I’ll be honest, I enjoy watching man, I enjoy watching him play.”

The forward will be ready to play in Barcelona’s match on Sunday against Levante and is expected to continue his sparkling form.

If he is to play, Rashford will be looking to make his 13th appearance for the club and add the 16th tally to his record of goal contributions this season.

With the striker playing like old times, the loan to Barcelona seemed exactly what he needed, and hopefully, he can help push his team into La Liga’s top spot, overtaking rivals Real Madrid.
