Diogo Dalot responds to Man United Player of the Season shout from former captain
Diogo Dalot has responded to praise from Gary Neville calling him Manchester United’s Player of the Season under Erik ten Hag this campaign.
Diogo Dalot has probably been Manchester United‘s player of the season so far after the Portugal international has come leaps and bounds under Erik ten Hag.
He has played 38 games across all competitions this season and has been one of the only players who has not been majorly affected by injury in a season where Old Trafford has seen over 50 cases of absence, which is a huge credit to him.

He has also scored two goals and provided three assists, firmly establishing his talents in both the right and left full-back positions at the club.
Dalot has performed so well that former United captain and club legend Gary Neville has explained he believes Dalot has been the best player at Old Trafford this season.
“He has done well, Dalot. He has been the best player this season,” Neville explained on his recent Stick to Football podcast episode.
In response to this, Dalot has commented on the shout, expressing his gratitude to Neville for the praise and hopes to continue his good form.
“It’s always nice to hear compliments, especially from players who know what it’s like to play for Man United,” Dalot said. “It’s the fruit of my work, and I want to continue.”
