Despite wanting to sell the player, Manchester United are still yet to agree a fee with Nottingham Forest for the sale of Dean Henderson this summer.

Manchester United are set to have a significant shift in their goalkeeping department this summer, with both David de Gea and Dean Henderson set to leave the club.

David de Gea looks increasingly likely to leave with his contract expiring in less than two weeks and a new deal yet to be signed under Erik ten Hag, while Dean Henderson is close to making his Nottingham Forest loan a permanent one.

However, despite all parties wanting Henderson to move to the Midlands club, the deal is currently at a bit of an impasse.

According to The Athletic, the stumbling block with Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest is in relation to the fact that the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee for the player.

United value Henderson in the region of £25 million, and he would command around £90k a week.

It is said that Nottingham Forest have made signing Dean Henderson a priority this summer, and the club’s hierarchy are prepared to finance a deal to sign him permanently.

Therefore, the deal should still go through with United looking for funds to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper this transfer window.
