Manchester United’s latest injury news as Rúben Amorim prepares his side to play Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

Rúben Amorim is looking to record some stable form after his Manchester United squad suffered back to back defeats last week.

After a brilliant win over Manchester City, the club followed this up with a 4-3 loss away from home against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup and a 3-0 loss at Old Trafford against Bournemouth.

The side firmly rooted themselves in 13th place on the Premier League table, the lowest United have ever sat during Christmas Day in the competition.

They will next face Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home on Boxing Day, who sit 18th in the league but have certainly felt a bounce since new boss Vitor Pereira arrived and secured a 3-0 win over Leicester City.

United’s latest injury news, including Mount update

Manchester United have been issued an update on the estimated length of time out midfielder Mason Mount will face after his early substitution against City.

It has been reported in the media that Mount will be out of action for an estimated 10 weeks after suffering a hamstring problem due to a hyperextended leg, with his tendon also being affected.

Victor Lindelöf had to be substituted early against Tottenham in midweek and left straight for the changing room, looking visibly upset while doing so, suggesting that his injury may be serious, although no update has been given as of yet.

Matthijs de Ligt has missed the side’s last two fixtures due to illness, and there has been no update on his situation since.

Luke Shaw is not expected back for at least another couple of weeks, although an exact time frame has not been given, while Marcus Rashford has missed United’s last three squads due to selection issues.

On a positive note, Toby Collyer returned to the matchday squad for the first time since October after overcoming an injury, and Noussair Mazraoui played against Tottenham and Bournemouth despite being substituted against City with a problem in the days prior.

Beyond this, there are no other injury issues at the club, with Amorim having a mostly fit squad to select from.
