Player Ratings: Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 Manchester United (Carabao Cup)
Manchester United lost 4-3 in their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur and exited the competition.
Ruben Amorim named a rotated team for this Manchester United clash and while the Reds lost, they were by far the better team.
Spurs took the lead from a horror mistake from Altay Bayındır and then added two more early in the second half – both also came from sloppy mistakes.
The hosts were clinical but United were the better side and got their rewards with two goals – also from Spurs mistakes shortly after substitutions were made.
It looked inevitable that Amorim’s side would grab an equaliser until Son Heung-min scored directly from a corner late in the game. Bayındır was furious and believed he was fouled but no VAR was being used.
Jonny Evans scored in added time but it was not enough for United, but Amorim would have been pleased with a lot of what he saw from his team.
The player ratings from the Reds can be read below.

Leny Yoro – 8/10
Looked really good defensively and confident on the ball.

Some sloppy moments and was forced off with injury.

Deserved a start but didn’t impress whatsoever.
