David de Gea yet to find a new club after latest Spanish rejection
David de Gea is yet to find a new football club after leaving Manchester United under Erik ten Hag as a free agent last summer.
Manchester United released David de Gea last summer after Erik ten Hag decided he was not what was required in his squad.
The club instead opted to sign Andrè Onana for just under £45 million from Inter Milan, with the Cameroon goalkeeper starting every game since.

David de Gea, since 1 July, has been able to sign for whatever club he desires without needing approval from United since he was no longer contracted them, but with the summer transfer window over, there seems to be no job in site for the Spaniard.
Recently, rumours have cropped up that Real Betis are considering the goalkeeper after both their goalkeepers Rui Silva and Claudio Bravo both injured, however, this has since been denied.
According to Estadio Deportivo, which is the sports newspaper local to Real Betis, the move will not happen.
“There is no negotiation underway with the Madrid goalkeeper, with his agents or with his entourage,” they have claimed via Sport Witness. “Neither management, advanced or incipient nor intention to open it.”
David de Gea is said to “remain on the lookout” for a new club, but to no avail so far.
