David de Gea sends emotional 6-word message to Man United star after FA Cup win

David de Gea has sent an emotional message to one of his former Manchester United teammates after the club’s FA Cup final win.

Manchester United claimed a 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley, earning the trophy for the first time since Louis van Gaal’s era in 2016.

Alejandro Garnacho put the Reds ahead early, seizing on a defensive mistake to score into an open net.

Kobbie Mainoo extended United’s lead before halftime, finishing off a brilliant team play with an assist from Bruno Fernandes.

Despite Jérémy Doku’s late goal adding pressure, United managed to hold on and secure the cup.

Bruno Fernandes was able to lift his second trophy at United and his first as club captain. The Portuguese midfielder was exceptional throughout the final.

David de Gea was quick to congratulate his former teammate. The pair became close friends after Fernandes signed for the club in 2020.

The midfielder posted on Instagram after the cup win, simply writing: “FA CUP WINNER”

In the comments, De Gea replied: “Nobody deserves it more than you.”

De Gea has not played since leaving Old Trafford at the end of last season. He will likely join a club for the upcoming campaign.
