Manchester United are reportedly willing to let Christian Eriksen quit Old Trafford this summer as talks are scheduled with Erik ten Hag ahead of the summer.

Christian Eriksen joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022 on a free contract from Brentford as part of Erik ten Hag‘s first summer in charge.

The Danish international went on to form a fantastic trio with Bruno Fernandes and other summer arrival Casemiro, but an injury sustained at the end of January that season saw him ruled out for three months, and he has never quite re-established himself in the side.

Speaking recently, Eriksen admitted that he was unhappy with his game time at United and had aired his concerns to Ten Hag.

“I have previously stated that I am not satisfied with not playing, but it’s not something that keeps me up at night,” Eriksen said while on international duty.

“The team is performing, and I must respect the role you have alongside. For my part, it has been about working hard and focusing on being fresh for every game, and I am. It is easier now to accept my role than it would have been before.

“I have had a conversation with Erik about being unhappy with the situation and wanting to play as much as possible, but I am available and need to be available for the team, which I am and always will be.

“He said it was the team he had chosen, and Kobbie is doing well, and the rest of the midfield is also performing well, so there is competition for places, which is expected when playing for a top club. There is great competition within the team.”

And now, according to information from FootballInsider, United are willing to let Eriksen “quit the club” in the coming transfer window.

Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are said to be interested in the 32-year-old midfielder and are hoping to secure his signature this summer.

Eriksen will hold face-to-face talks with Ten Hag about his future in the coming months, although it feels likely that this will only end with Eriksen leaving United this summer.
