Barcelona doctor find injury to Man United star that Old Trafford doctors “missed”
Casemiro’s recent injury was discovered by a Barcelona doctor despite being cleared by Manchester United medical staff days before.
The 32-year-old was ruled out of Manchester United‘s FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool last weekend after a new muscle injury was discovered.
However, reports from Brazilian media outlet Trivela, reveal that the midfielder had been cleared for the game by United’s doctors.

Casemiro felt an injury in his hamstring during training for the FA Cup clash and decided to speak with club doctors who, after a series of examinations, approved him to play against Liverpool.
But the Brazilian, concerned due to his history with a hamstring injury which sidelined him months ago, met with a personal doctor who treated him during his time playing in La Liga.
The Barcelona doctor discovered a ‘small injury’ in the area which should have been picked up by the staff at Old Trafford.
The report claims that, had Casemiro played in the FA Cup match, this issue would likely have become a ‘much bigger problem’ that could have caused his previous injury to resurface.
For this reason, the Brazilian was ruled out of the Liverpool game and has since been ruled out of the international friendlies with England and Spain in the next 7 days.
Since joining Manchester United in August 2022 for a reported fee of €70.65m, the 32-year-old has missed nearly 90 days due to ongoing injury problems,
This has led some fans to call for Casemiro to be sold, with the former Real Madrid star reportedly earning £350,000 per week, making him one of the highest-paid players at the club.
