A new report from Germany has revealed that Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko wants to leave the club this summer.

Moukoko, 19, will be no stranger to Manchester United fans having been previously linked with the club.

In the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from United in the latter weeks of 2022, Moukoko was a target of Erik ten Hag along with now fellow Bundesliga striker Benjamin Sesko.

Both Sesko and Moukoko are believed to be available this summer, with Moukoko reportedly available for a bargain fee.

According to a report from German outlet SportBILD, Moukoko who has scored three Bundesliga goals this season is unhappy at Dortmund and sees his future elsewhere.

The report notes that with only 352 minutes of Bundesliga football so far this season, Moukoko’s ambitions are not being met.

Moukoko, who made his debut for the side subbing on for now Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, signed a new contract with Dortmund last year. That contract lasts until 2026, with Moukoko receiving a signing bonus of approximately £8.5 million for agreeing to it.

As a result, Dortmund are not prepared to let Moukoko leave on a cut-price deal, but will sell him for considerably less than United’s other targets for the striker position.

Moukoko is expected to be available for somewhere in the range of £21 million, with a loan deal less likely, but also potentially on the cards.

Regardless of who they sign, United will need to strengthen the position this summer with Anthony Martial’s departure from the club now just a matter of weeks away.
