Bryan Mbeumo’s new price-tag revealed amid Manchester United’s clear stance on transfer

Manchester United’s stance on Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has been explained after the forward’s new price-tag was revealed.

Manchester United are looking to bolster Ruben Amorim’s squad this summer, particularly in the attacking areas of the team.

The Reds have been extremely poor in terms of goalscoring this term and are already looking at targets to address that issue.

Matheus Cunha is a primary target for the left-sided no.10 role while Liam Delap is reported as the preferred option up front.

It has been reported that United are also eyeing a signing for the right-sided no.10 position to bolster that frontline even more.

Mbeumo price-tag revealed as United’s stance clear

Bryan Mbeumo’s future at Brentford appears to be uncertain ahead of the summer window and he is a potential target for those at United.

It has been reported that the Reds have been eyeing the Premier League forward in recent weeks, although there are concerns about how he would impact Amad on that right side.

The latest information from the Telegraph states that Brentford are going to asking for at least £60 million for their star player and that could cause some issues for United.

With a similar amount already set to be spent on Cunha, it seems unlikely that the Reds will be able to justify another £60 million outlay on Mbeumo, especially since there are already concerns about how Amad fits alongside him.

United have youthful alternatives to Mbeumo

In terms of the right-sided no.10 signing, it feels like United will be opting for youth rather than experience.

Players like Rayan Cherki and Franco Mastantuono have been linked with a move to Old Trafford and they would both cost significantly less than Mbeumo.

Of course, Amad is also a player who can start in that position, which makes the approach of signing a younger talent more understandable.

It remains to be seen whether United will be targeting a right wingback, with limited options in that position who can offer quality in the attacking side of the game.
