PSG ‘rule out’ Bruno Fernandes signing as Manchester United told two reasons why
Paris St. Germain are said to have ruled out signing Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United this summer, detailing two reasons why.
Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United‘s best signing since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Having been purchased by Ole Gunnar Solskjær in January 2020, the Portuguese international has gone on to become the captain of the club.
In his four-and-a-half seasons at Old Trafford, Fernandes has played 233 times for the club, scoring 79 goals and providing 66 assists, winning two trophies with Erik ten Hag.

At 29 years old, Fernandes is reaching the peak of his career, and following his fantastic performances, there is an understandable amount of interest in the star midfielder, with links to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and the Saudi Pro League circling throughout his career.
However, in recent days, Ligue 1 side Paris St. Germain have been the club’s most prominent link with the player, but it has now come out that they will not sign him this summer.
According to L’Equipe, PSG have ruled out signing Fernandes for two reasons beyond the fact that United have no interest in selling him.
Firstly, it has been deemed that Fernandes would be too expensive to sign. Although a price is not named, United would likely not let Fernandes leave for less than £100 million, considering his importance to the club.
Secondly, although PSG appreciates Fernandes, he is not currently a priority option for the Ligue 1 side, meaning that they are aiming to expand their efforts elsewhere.
It is also reported that they are keen on Jadon Sancho, who has recently returned to United training following an 11-month expulsion from Ten Hag’s team after the pair fell out earlier last season.
United are thought to value Sancho at around £40 million, and PSG were impressed by the winger’s performances at Borussia Dortmund during his loan spell at the Bundesliga club earlier this season.
