BREAKING: Manchester United travelling squad vs Man City for FA Cup final
Manchester United’s 22-man travelling squad for the FA Cup final at Wembley against Manchester City has been revealed.
Erik ten Hag could be heading into his last game as United manager following reports that he will be sacked no matter the result at Wembley.
The Dutchman has named 22 players in his squad as they travel to London ahead of the 3pm Saturday kick-off at the national stadium.
Despite the club having major injury concerns over the course of the season, there are only three players unavailable for the clash.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia remain out of action. Ten Hag confirmed that it would be a close call for the England international, who is also unlikely to make England’s final group for Euro 2024 despite being named in the initial 35-man squad.
Harry Maguire has also been ruled out of the tie after recent injury troubles.
Anthony Martial has returned to fitness in recent weeks and it was thought that he would be available to be in the squad. However, he has not been spotted with the team.
Marcus Rashford has returned to action recently after injury problems. Lisandro Martínez and Raphaël Varane are also in contention. Martínez started his first game in several months against Brighton last weekend.
“It’s all about trophies,” Ten Hag has told reporters. “And we have a huge opportunity to win a trophy.
“The last 10 years, [there were] not many trophies in this club but we have an opportunity to win two trophies in two years.”
