“Now that he’s available…” Journalist reveals Arsenal’s stance on potential Marcus Rashford transfer
Arsenal’s stance on a potential transfer for Marcus Rashford has been revealed after the Manchester United forward declared he wanted a new challenge.
Marcus Rashford is expected to leave Manchester United in 2025 after a shocking interview revealed the 27-year-old’s desire to seek a new challenge.
Once the star of United’s attack, Rashford’s form has dipped since his standout 30-goal season under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23. Under Rúben Amorim, he has found himself lower in the pecking order, with players like Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes preferred in the advanced midfield roles.

Having spent nearly 20 years at the club, Rashford’s journey with United began in spectacular fashion. As an 18-year-old, he scored twice on his debut against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and followed it up with another brace against Arsenal in his Premier League debut.
With Manchester United reportedly open to offers of around £40 million, Rashford’s time at Old Trafford looks set to come to an end as he prepares to explore new opportunities in the months ahead.
Arsenal’s transfer stance
Manchester United have a rather checkered history with respect to transfers, with many pointing to Robin van Persie’s switch from London to Manchester as one of the most controversial moves in recent history.
There have also been others, with Danny Welbeck swapping the North for the South, as well as the infamous swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both fail at their clubs after the move.
Rashford is now the latest player to join the conversation of a potential deal between the two sides. Arsenal are known to be needing a new left-winger, and the 27-year-old may fit the bill.
Speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, journalist Dean Jones has revealed that Arsenal hold a concrete interest in Rashford, having explored a potential transfer last summer.
“He’s been on their radar before. I know they did look at signing Rashford last summer and they did inquire about it, and now that he is available, there’s not many teams going to be in there and you could go and get him,” Jones said.
Would Rashford be a good move for Arsenal?
Rashford joining Arsenal would certainly cause United fans a lot of pain as many know that despite his poor form, there is still a fantastic player in there.
Speaking on TNT Sports recently, former Premier League defender Joe Cole pinpointed Rashford as an incredible potential signing for Arsenal.
“Reports today that Marcus Rashford may be moved on by Manchester United,” said Cole.
“He’d be a hell of a signing! That’s where they have to shop, Arsenal – on the left side. They’ve got to shop for the very, very top players to improve this team.”
