Manchester United will look to secure third place in the Premier League this Sunday as they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford.

A win would see Erik ten Hag‘s Manchester United finish on 75 points in his debut season, finishing at least two points ahead of fourth-placed Newcastle United.

United recently confirmed their position in next season’s Champions League group stages with a 4-1 victory over Chelsea on Thursday evening.

Despite the victory, there were some causes for concern for the Red Devils, with Antony and Luke Shaw both being substituted through injury.

Here is the team news for both sides ahead of the final day of the Premier League season.

Manchester United

Both Shaw and Antony coming off the pitch due to injury was a worrying sight for Manchester United fans, with the pair both in contention to start in the FA Cup final against Manchester City in just over one weeks’ time.

Speaking to beIN Sports after the fixture, Ten Hag said on the pair: “It’s difficult always to say, straight after the game, but, yeah, Antony is serious. Luke Shaw, we have to see. I don’t think it’s too bad but we have to wait 24 hours. We’ll have a diagnosis and we will know more.”

He further added in his post-match press conference: “It’s difficult to say. Let’s wait for 24 hours and then we’ll know more.

“I don’t know (about Antony). Everyone has seen (how) he came off. I can tell you it is serious but we have to wait a minimum (of) 24 hours, then we know probably more about the status of the injury.”

Subsequently, it was reported that Antony may be sidelined for up to two months with the ankle injury, as it may be a reoccurrence of an ankle problem that kept him out of action for two months last season at Ajax.

Despite the concerns about Luke Shaw, he was pictured in training on Saturday morning and although he may not start against Fulham in order to gather rest ahead of the FA Cup final, there seem to be no lasting injury concerns.

Marcus Rashford returned to action after missing the last two fixtures due to injury and illness and although he was seen holding his hip at points against Chelsea, he finished the game and scored with no problems so is presumed fit to play.

Beyond the injuries of Lisandro Martinez, Marcel Sabitzer, and Donny van de Beek, who have been ruled out for the season, there are no other concerns as of now.

Fulham

Former Red Andreas Pereira will not be returning to Old Trafford as he is currently recovering from a fractured ankle that ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Another former United player, Daniel James, may return to action for Fulham after being sidelined through injury, while Layvin Kurzawa could also make a return. Defender Tim Ream will be absent from the tie.
