Antony sends Man United fans message as Rasmus Hojlund’s Everton availability revealed
Brazilian winger Antony has sent Manchester United supporters a message ahead of their Premier League clash against Everton this weekend.
United are looking to continue their recent form in the league following four wins in their last five games.
However, a visit to Goodison Park will provide a tough test after The Toffees were deducted 10 points over the international break, leaving them joint-bottom of the table.
Ahead of the game, Antony has vowed to do his best amid criticism of the Brazilian in recent months.
Former United striker Dwight Yorke has been one of many who have called out the United winger for his performances since he moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022.
The Brazilian took to social media on Wednesday to reiterate his desire to improve, saying: “Focused and ready to do my best! Always with you, United!”
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag will have a selection headache up front in his side after admitting that Rasmus Hojlund could miss the game on Sunday.
“Rasmus Hojlund, not too bad. Everton will be a close finish but we’re working on that,” said Ten Hag. “We’re not sure if he can make that but, hopefully, in the next week, he will return to the squad.”
The manager also provided an update on the absent Christian Erisken who is suffering from a knee injury.
If the Danish striker is unable to start the clash, the options upfront are scarce for the side. Ten Hag’s main option would be Anthony Martial, who hasn’t started in the league since the loss against Arsenal in September.
However, he could also call upon Marcus Rashford to play through the middle like he did many times last season.
Both forwards have only scored one goal each so far this season. Hojlund has scored five but all of those have come in the Champions League.
