Amad Diallo has sent Erik ten Hag a strong message regarding his immediate future amid rumours of a potential loan deal in January.
Amad Diallo only recently returned to first-team football during Manchester United‘s 2-1 loss against Nottingham Forest after being out for five months with an ankle injury.
After a successful loan at Sunderland in the Championship, many fans were excited to see Amad back in a United shirt, but an injury against Arsenal in pre-season halted this, with the player staying at the club in order to recover.

There were rumours that the club planned to loan Amad back out for another season prior to his injury, and with the player having returned to full fitness ahead of January, there are claims that he is wanted on loan once again.
The Mirror claim that Championship side Ipswich are keen to take him, while HITC also say that Sunderland and Leicester City are eyeing the player.
However, in a recent interview, Amad clarified to Erik ten Hag and the club that he wishes to stay at United for the coming months so he can help the team and play football at Old Trafford.
“Everyone does deserve to play, you know, but I was concentrating, to come back quickly to the team and to help the team,” he told club media. “So it’s difficult when you watch the game and you are not there, but you need to be positive to hope you get the win that day.”
He continued: “I want to play more football and to come back here (to Old Trafford) to play football again. If the manager puts me on the pitch, I will fight for the team, to help the team.
I am focused on the pitch, I am focused off the pitch, and in training, I do my best. If the manager gives me a chance, I will take my chance, and I will do my best on the pitch.
“I’ve come back [from injury] stronger, I’ve come back with more motivation to help the team.”
“I love football, you know. You need to enjoy every game, you do not need to make more pressure in your head. You need to enjoy the game, but you need to help the team to defend, to attack, so when I’m back, I hope to do this for the team.”
