Amad Diallo provides statement after deleting Man United images from social media
Amad Diallo has provided a statement after he deleted all Manchester United-related images from his social media channels before deactivating his accounts.
Amad, 21, has had a difficult season at United so far. He sustained a major setback in pre-season when he suffered a serious knee injury which kept him out of action until late December.

Since then, he has made just three appearances from the bench. Antony, Omari Forson and Alejandro Garnacho have all been preferred to him on the right wing.
Supporters noticed on Monday evening that Amad had deleted all United-related posts from his social media – leaving images from his time on loan at Sunderland. He later deactivated his Instagram and X (formally Twitter) accounts.
This brought questions about his Old Trafford future into the frame, with a report also adding that the 21-year-old was “considering” his options.
However, Amad has since published a statement on his Snapchat story. The Ivorian explained that he decided to stay off social media for the month of Ramadan and asserted that there is “nothing wrong” with his actions.
“I deactivated my social media for a month just to focus on Ramadan, it’s a holy month for me and social media is a place where there are bad things to see during fasting,” he stated.
“Stop the hatred, there’s nothing wrong with what I did.”
Speaking earlier this year, Amad told club media: “I’ve come in with more belief and with the desire to help the team as I’ve always wanted to do, and I want to continue on this path.
“Whenever the coach calls me up or sends me on the pitch, I want to be always present to help the team.”
