Amad Diallo has dropped a major hint about his Manchester United future and may ‘consider’ an Old Trafford exit in the summer.

Amad, 21, was signed by United in the summer of 2020 and joined the club in the following January. He was regarded as one of the most promising talents in Europe at Atalanta.

However, the winger’s development was stunted after poor decisions, such as keeping him at the club in his first season and then being loaned to Rangers in his second term – where limited opportunities were provided.

Amad saw success throughout the 2022/23 campaign where he was on loan at Sunderland. He was a key part of their promotion chase, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists.

He returned to Old Trafford this season and had a major setback in pre-season with a serious knee injury. He returned at the back-end of 2023, coming off the bench in the defeat against Nottingham Forest.

However, since then, Amad has been overlooked several times. Omari Forson started over him against Fulham, and Antony continues to get chances off the bench over the 21-year-old.

Many supporters have questioned the decision-making by Erik ten Hag and Amad has since provided a hint that he is not happy with his situation.

The United wide player has now deleted—or perhaps archived—all Manchester United-related posts on his Instagram page, with only three posts remaining from his time at Sunderland last season. He has also changed his profile image to show him in a Sunderland shirt.

It was well-reported in the January transfer window that Sunderland would’ve been interested in re-signing the talent on loan for the rest of the season, but United wanted to keep Amad for the rest of the season.

According to AcademyScoop, the club are currently refusing to give Amad assurances over his playing time or role security despite valuing the Ivorian as an important part of the long-term project.

It was added that while Amad dreams of a future at the club, he will consider his options in the summer if his situation does not change.

Amad has been included on the United bench in all of their last seven Premier League fixtures, coming onto the field in only one of those games.
