Amad Diallo may start for Manchester United vs Sheffield United
Erik ten Hag has hinted that Amad Diallo may be given a start as Manchester United face Sheffield United in the Premier League.
Amad Diallo has not had the season he had hoped for following his fantastic loan at Sunderland in the Championship last campaign.
It was the most successful loan move Manchester United had witnessed, but Amad was then injured during pre-season and was out for multiple months, not making another appearance until late December.

He has not played many minutes under Erik ten Hag, but he may start against Sheffield United following the manager’s latest words.
Amad deserves more minutes
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday afternoon, Ten Hag admitted that Amad deserves more minutes in the team than he is currently getting.
“Amad deserves it [to play more] but don’t forget he was injured for a long period of the season,” Ten Hag explained.
“So we rebuilt him, he’s now had some opportunities, he’s really contributed. But also he played in a position that is not his best position, I would say. Started as a striker but then he has to play in the midfield, so he did well.
“But we have a number of players in that area, there’s big competition there, and actually he already has deserved more minutes I would say. But I have to choose there because we have Alejandro Garnacho, we have Antony, we have him, we have Omari Forson.
“So we have some players in that position, a number of players, and we have to make choices there. But I am very happy with his performances, with his progress, and I see his qualities. He has some assets that can really contribute to our game.”
Starting against Sheffield?
Ten Hag also confirmed that Marcus Rashford is a doubt to face Sheffield United after an injury during the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.
This would leave the door right open for Amad to step in on the right wing, with Garnacho playing on the left-hand side. Amad would be competing for the spot against Antony and deserves his chance to start.
