Alejandro Garnacho names his Manchester United goal target, he’s already on seven
Alejandro Garnacho has been one of the bright sparks in a mixed season so far for United, and the young Argentine has set a goal target for himself.
Garnacho scored twice in The Reds’ 3-0 thumping of West Ham on Sunday, and the 19-year-old is beginning to find the back of the net more regularly. Erik ten Hag trusts the winger, having started him 19 games in a row, a stat that has seemed to go unnoticed.
A seemingly undroppable cog of United’s front three, the No. 17 has found joy on the right wing, as his favoured position on the left flank is occupied by Marcus Rashford, and his recent run of superb form shared by Rasmus Højlund could show that the team are turning the corner regarding their goalscoring struggles.

The Argentine’s flexibility and willingness to play on either side has kept fellow South American Antony restricted to just minutes off the bench as the two are having varsity contradicting seasons.
The teenager is hoping to improve on an already stellar year in front of the net, scoring five times and assisting those around him twice so far in the league as he has his sights on double digits for goal contributions.
Speaking after the West Ham victory to MUTV, Garnacho set a target for himself but also shared his desire to improve United’s league position.
“I am always trying to help the team by either scoring or assisting,” stated the winger who celebrated like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo at the weekend.
“I don’t care if Rasmus [Højlund] or [Marcus] Rashford score; we have to win, and we have to be in the top six again.
“Hopefully, you know, [I could get] 10, 12 goals?”
Still, at the very start of what looks like a potentially illustrious career, Garna should be applauded and proud if he achieves this target, and hopefully, he does and more so.
