“You deserved to say goodbye” – Bruno Fernandes makes Manchester United plea during David de Gea’s exit
Bruno Fernandes has claimed that David de Gea deserved to say goodbye in front of the fans as the goalkeeper confirmed his exit from the club on Saturday afternoon.
David de Gea has left Manchester United after his contract ran out at the end of last month.
It is a decision that will see a seismic change in the dressing room as Erik ten Hag looks to further implement his preferred style of play into his squad.

De Gea has always been a significant presence in the dressing room, and a close friend to many United players.
Bruno Fernandes has reacted to the news on his Instagram story.
“You know what I think about you and how much I will miss you bro,” Fernandes said.
“You deserved to say goodbye at the stadium with all the fans cheering you for all the beautiful memories.
“You made history at the club and your name will never be forgotten, and that no one can’t take away from you. All the best for what’s coming for you and your family.”
