Manchester United’s latest injury news detailed after Rúben Amorim was dealt an update on when Ayden Heaven can return to training following an injury scare.
Rúben Amorim’s men have a tough schedule coming up once they return from the international break, with several of Manchester United’s first-team players able to rest.
While those such as Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Højlund, and Matthijs de Ligt competed for their national sides, others such as Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee have been able to enjoy time off and able to work on their fitness.
United are expected to resume training early next week, with those who did not travel returning to Carrington in the next few days while others who flew for international duty likely back in training on Thursday.
United are set to face Nottingham Forest away from home on 1 April, with a Manchester Derby later that week and a two-legged Europa League quarter-final against Olympique Lyonnais also on the horizon.
Amorim dealt Heaven training return update
United’s final game before the international break was a fantastic 3-0 victory over Leicester City last weekend, with Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Fernandes netting in the Premier League.
However, the club were handed a significant blow early in the second half when in-form defender Ayden Heaven went down with an apparent ankle injury and had to be stretchered off, with many fearing the worst for the 18-year-old.
A few days later, positive news filtered through, with reports confirming that the player was recovering quickly and could now walk around without any protective boot or additional support.
Further, it was stated that the player may be able to return to training once the international break was over, meaning he may be involved with the squad again in the next week or two.
Latest on United’s other injuries
Some key players remain out of action for Amorim, with those such as Kobbie Mainoo, Amad, and Lisandro Martínez all still sidelined once domestic football returns.
However, Amorim is expected to have a host of players back in training next week, with one being Leny Yoro. The Frenchman missed United’s last two fixtures, but the head coach confirmed last week that Yoro’s injury is not a serious problem and he should be able to return soon.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire narrowly missed out on a return against Leicester City, meaning the extra two weeks he has had to recover following his unspecified injury will likely allow him to return next week.
Mason Mount returned to the matchday squad for the first time in three months as United defeated Leicester, and he is expected to be fit for the upcoming fixtures.
There are yet to be any official updates on the returns of Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton, and Altay Bayındır, and Amorim may issue these during his pre-match press conference next week.
