Manchester United have received multiple injury updates as Rúben Amorim prepares for his second fixture at the club, in the Europa League against Bodo/Glimt.

Following a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town, Rúben Amorim is preparing for his second game as Manchester United‘s head coach on Thursday evening.

The upcoming Europa League tie against Bodo/Glimt represents the first time he will take charge of the club at Old Trafford since he joined earlier this month.

United currently sit 15th in the Europa League table, three points off the top eight positions, which gain automatic qualification into the next round.

So far in the competition, the side have registered three draws and one win and must climb the table in their second four matches or risk having to play in the play-off round before the competition’s knockout stage in the new year.

Several injury updates

Following the side’s Premier League draw on Sunday, multiple injury updates have been provided on stars who were not included in the matchday squad.

Leny Yoro was not included in the training squad ahead of the Bodo/Glimt tie, but it has been confirmed that this was a pre-planned decision, and he has not suffered any setbacks.

The 19-year-old continues to follow a specific reintegration plan designed for him following his injury during pre-season and is due to return to the matchday squad in the next few weeks.

Despite not playing against Ipswich, Kobbie Mainoo is also presumed to be fit, having been included on the bench on the weekend and taking part in full training under Amorim last week.

Harry Maguire returned to training alongside Lisandro Martínez on Wednesday morning, but midfielder Toby Collyer remains injured.

Victor Lindelöf suffered an injury while on international duty, and many are still waiting for an update on the Swede, while Dan Gore is close to returning to training after suffering a setback last month.

Fresh returns

The Ipswich tie afforded fans the warm welcome of Tyrell Malacia back into the matchday squad following a knee injury that has kept him out of action for the last 17 months.

Luke Shaw also returned to action for the first time this season, having not made an appearance for United since March earlier this year.

As mentioned above, Mainoo was also able to join the others for the trip to the English East Coast and is expected to be involved when they return to Old Trafford on Thursday.
