Xabi Alonso has come forward to reveal the true intention behind the future of Manchester United’s exciting potential transfer target, Endrick, at Real Madrid.
Manchester United have found their feet after their 2-1 win at Anfield, having now won three of their last four Premier league games. Optimism is beaming throughout the red side of Manchester as Amorim’s players have started to deliver the quality fans have been so desperate for.
United’s summer signings have been a hit so far, with Mbeumo scoring against Liverpool, Senne Lammens making it two clean sheets out of two and Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko linking up perfectly to see the win out.
Fans are beginning to look into the next set of incomings at United, and Amorim is reportedly keeping his eye on Real Madrid’s teen star, Endrick, to strengthen the United attack even more in the summer of 2026. However, Xabi Alonso has something to say about it.
The Real Madrid boss has been almost perfect in La Liga this season, winning eight out of nine games and leaving Los Blancos top of the table. However, the 19-year-old name has yet to make his mark on the team this season.
Alonso wants Endrick to stay at the Bernebeu
The Brazilian wonderkid has struggled for minutes under his new boss. With Real Madrid’s devastating attacking threat, it is hard to see a way in for Endrick, who has stayed firmly on the bench for each of Real Madrid’s last six matches.
Despite this, Alonso brushed aside the conversation of Endrick leaving on loan at the beginning of the new year, ahead of their Champions League clash against Italian giants, Juventus.
Alonso stated, “Endrick on loan? We’re not at that point yet. The competition in attack is intense. We have to be prepared for every game. Endrick, Gonzalo, and Brahim have to be ready.”
Endrick came to Madrid with a lot of talent, optimism and anticipation, but a lack of game time could cause the 19-year-old to push for a move if his situation does not improve under Alonso.
Nonetheless, Alonso insisted, “They’re going to come in, and have to be ready.”
Would Endrick be suited to Old Trafford?
Amorim’s side are likely to remain aware of Endrick’s situation in Spain from now to January as further reinforcements may be necessary for United.
If game-time remains as an issue, there is a possibility that United enter the conversation for the youngster in the winter, particularly with the question marks over Joshua Zirkzee’s future.
With United’s attacking threat looking strong, Endrick could be a suitable option to perform alongside his fellow countryman, Matheus Cunha, to bring back the European spots in the Premier League.
Endrick accumulated seven goals in 37 games across all club competitions last season, which was very promising for an 18-year-old at the time. The opportunity to perform more consistently under Amorim could be the Brazilian’s method of earning his spot in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad.
