Wolves exploring surprise transfer for £25m-rated Manchester United winger, it could be an absolute blessing

Wolverhampton Wanderers are now said to be exploring a move for a Manchester United winger, who is anticipated to be sold for £25m when the window opens this summer.

Manchester United are looking to offload a number of squad members this season, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are now being reported to be targeting the potential signing of one of them.

With the likes of Marcus Rashford and Antony set to leave the club this summer, United are also looking to profit from some other sales, with Rúben Amorim recently suggesting that United will sign two big players for the squad.

Wolves are expected to stay up this season, and they are now looking to strengthen their place in the league ahead of next season, where they will be looking to avoid the struggles they faced this year.

Matheus Cunha is also expected to leave Molineux this summer, which means Vitor Pereira’s side will be looking to replace their Brazilian talisman.

Wolves interested in Sancho signing

Wolves are now reportedly interested in a surprise move for Jadon Sancho this summer, with the former Dortmund winger’s proposed obligation transfer to Chelsea still up in the air. United are not expected to welcome Sancho back this summer, so regardless of whether Chelsea decide against signing him, the Reds will be looking to offload him when the time comes.

The news comes from FootballTransfers, who have reported exclusively that Wolves are interested in Sancho. The report suggests Wolves are exploring a move for the player, should Chelsea make the decision to decide against making his loan deal permanent.

Sancho started off brightly for Chelsea this season but has since seen his form drop off significantly. If the Blues decide against signing him, they will have to pay a significant penalty fee to his parent club United for breaking the obligation agreement in the contract.

United are unlikely to want Sancho back in the squad next season after his time at the club never went the way many felt it would. Despite coming to Old Trafford with high expectations, the winger failed to live up to them for various reasons.

Wolves move could help Sancho

Sometimes, players crumble under the pressure placed on them by price tags, and it seems Jadon Sancho is one of those players who has never been able to recover from the one put on him. Having been the most coveted young talent in Europe before United signed him, ever since that £73 million transfer went through, he has never looked like the same player.

Chelsea have shown no indication they will decide against signing Sancho, and the player is said to be happy to remain at the club if the option is there to do so, but if the London club lets the winger go, a move to Wolves could be an absolute blessing for the player to restart his career in an environment with less pressure.

While a move to Wolves is probably not the standard Sancho holds himself to, taking himself out of that spotlight and moving to a club with less scrutiny and eyes might be the best test for his career at this stage.

Borussia Dortmund could also be a route back to his former glories, with reports in recent days suggesting the German club is open to signing the player for a third time, after his most recent loan spell saw him help the side get to the Champions League final.
