When is the FA Cup fourth-round draw? Manchester United details and ball number
All you need to know about the FA Cup fourth-round draw as Manchester United prepare to face Arsenal in North London in the third round.
Manchester United open their FA Cup defence on Sunday afternoon with a trip to North London to face Arsenal.
The Reds claimed the trophy in May 2024, with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo scoring the decisive goals under Erik ten Hag at Wembley.
Now, eight months later, the team is under the management of 39-year-old Rúben Amorim, who replaced Ten Hag following his dismissal in October. Although results have been mixed under Amorim, the team has shown signs of progress.
United and Arsenal last met at the Emirates in December, where the Gunners secured victory with two goals from corners. Despite the defeat, United have impressed with their strong displays away from home against elite opposition.
When is the FA Cup fourth-round draw?
Should United advance past Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, they will be played in the hat for the fourth-round draw of the competition as ball No. 2
The draw is set to take place at around 5pm on Sunday following the conclusion of Arsenal against United, but may have to be delayed should the two teams be drawing after 90 minutes and head into extra time.
There may then be a further delay if the two sides cannot be separated after 120 minutes, with the teams then deciding the result through a penalty shootout.
