Manchester United are planning to unveil new signing Rasmus Hojlund in front of the Old Trafford crowd on Saturday afternoon against RC Lens.

That’s according to multiple reliable reports, after the 20-year-old striker put pen to paper on a long-term deal with United.

Moving from Atalanta, the addition of Hojlund is a much-anticipated one amongst the fanbase who have been starved of a quality no.9 since Erik ten Hag took over.

Anthony Martial’s fitness problems kept him out of action for prolonged periods last term, whilst stopgap option Wout Weghorst did not display the needed attributes, most importantly goalscoring, for the club to consider offering him a permanent contract following his loan deal.

Hojlund, who will cost United an initial £64 million, was spotted in Manchester ahead of his unveiling. The Danish forward was pictured leaving a photoshoot, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, United have received a boost in their attempts to get players surplus to requirements out of the door.

There have not been enough first-team sales so far this summer. Alex Telles is the only player over the age of 21 that has departed the club on a transfer. He left to join former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.

And it could be another Saudi Arabian club that comes calling for another player who is not in Ten Hag’s plans. According to Sky Sports, there is interest from two Saudi Pro-League clubs in United defender Eric Bailly.

The Ivory Coast international has also reportedly attracted interest from La Liga side Real Betis, however, added interest from the growing Saudi league could help increase his transfer value.

Bailly has played 113 times for the Old Trafford club since signing in the summer of 2016 and spent last season on loan at Marseille.
