Two Premier League clubs are interested in former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba following Fabrizio Romano clarifying recent rumours.

Paul Pogba will return to the pitch in March after his ban from football was reduced to 18 months several weeks ago.

The former Manchester United midfielder’s contract at Juventus has been terminated and he will be looking for a club ahead of his return in four months time.

Recent rumours have claimed that Pogba had been offered a return to United’s training complex Carrington while he awaits an offer for a new club.

However, Fabrizio Romano has shut down those reports and stated that there has been no contact between the Reds and the Frenchman.

“Reports of Paul Pogba set to train at Manchester United’s Carrington are not true,” the journalist posted on X.

“Pogba is not planning to train at any club as he’s working in Miami on daily basis. As soon as he signs for new club, Paul will be ready to go and train there. No contacts with United.”

Several European clubs have been linked with a move for the World Cup winner and now there is reported interest from the Premier League.

Fichajes have claimed that Pogba is the main target for Newcastle and West Ham, with both clubs said to see the midfielder as a player who still has ‘great class and quality’.

Neither club really seem to be at the calibre which Pogba would desire in his return. It remains to be seen whether his future is in England or elsewhere.

The 31-year-old midfielder made 233 appearances for United during his two different spells at the club, scoring 39 goals and registering 48 assists in that time.
