Three European clubs register interest in Jadon Sancho after Manchester United loanee’s shock return

Three European clubs are hunting for the signature of one of Manchester United’s most well-paid players as the summer transfer window gets into his groove, with the man in question unlikely to get back into United’s squad this season.

Manchester United will be looking desperately to offload as many players as they deem surplus to requirements this summer to raise funds for potential transfers, and they may have struck gold in their pursuit of selling a certain player.

The forward, for whom United have previously looked for a fee of around £25m, is expected to leave the club this summer after his loan move did not go to plan. Many felt United would face issues selling him due to his wage, but recent reports suggest there is a queue of clubs interested.

A permanent move away from Old Trafford was expected this summer, but the winger could not agree on personal terms with the club he spent last season on loan at, as he was unwilling to drop his demands to a low enough rate.

Three clubs now want to give him a ticket away from United, with one of the clubs boasting Champions League football and the two others Europa League football.

Three clubs chase Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho is reportedly the subject of interest from three huge European clubs, as he looks to bid goodbye to Manchester United permanently in the summer. Sancho was felt to be joining Chelsea on a permanent deal, but the pair could not agree on terms on wages.

The clubs in question, according to a report from TeamTalk, are Aston Villa, AC Milan and Napoli. All three clubs have registered an interest in the winger ahead of the new season, as he is deemed surplus to requirements by Ruben Amorim.

Sancho is currently on £300k a week at United and will definitely have to take a wage cut at all three of those clubs if he is to play football in Europe next season.

A move to Saudi Arabia is the only likely destination that will see him get close to £300k a week, although it’s unknown if the England international is open to a move to the country.

Sancho needs fresh start

Sancho needs to strip back his game and start fresh at a new club. His loans at Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund were slightly successful, but he needs a new stage to try and get back to his former self.

There is a player there, but for a number of reasons only the player himself will know, he has not shown it since he left Germany for United back in 2021.

A move to a league like the Serie A may suit the play style of Sancho, as it is more slow-paced and less physically demanding than a league like the Premier League.

The 25-year-old showed glimpses of what he could do at Chelsea, particularly early on, but the continuous recurring issue has been his consistency levels. If he can become consistent again at his next club, whoever is signing him is getting a very talented player.
