Manchester United are reportedly in the race to sign a certain Leicester City star, with the player already receiving a huge bit of praise from…
Ruud van Nistelrooy joined Manchester United in 2001 from PSV Eindhoven for £19 million, becoming the club’s record signing at the time. Over five seasons, he scored 150 goals in 219 appearances, winning the Premier League title in 2002–03, the FA Cup in 2003–04, and the League Cup in 2005–06. He also secured the Premier League Golden Boot in 2002–03 and was named Premier League Player of the Season that same year.
Despite his prolific scoring, tensions with manager Sir Alex Ferguson and a reported clash with Cristiano Ronaldo led to his departure in 2006. Van Nistelrooy returned to United in a coaching capacity in 2024, briefly serving as interim manager before taking over as Leicester City’s head coach later that year.
