Manchester United have made decisions on whether to loan two young midfield talents during the January transfer window.

Ruben Amorim has encountered difficulties during his Manchester United tenure so far, with mixed results showcasing the need for reinforcements to his team.

Strengthening the squad with a left-wingback remains a top priority, while adding another striker would also provide a boost. However, the club must generate funds through player sales to allow new additions.

United are also expected to remain active in the loan market for young prospects, as they usually complete mid-season business for their Academy talent.

United plan to keep Academy midfield duo after January

Sources have told UtdDistrict that United currently have no plans to see Toby Collyer or Jack Moorhouse leave the club on loan this month

Instead, the two midfield talents are set to remain at United, with Collyer getting regular first-team involvement at Carrington.

Moorhouse has also been included in first-team training sessions under Amorim, but Collyer is ahead of him in the pecking order, as shown by his involvement against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

“Toby is training really well,” Amorim told reporters this week. “He has a lot of pace, he likes to learn so it’s one more option for tomorrow [against Southampton].”

Last month, Amorim was watching the Under-21s play at Carrington, with Moorhouse being the standout player on the day.

United plan to loan out four youngsters

Ethan Ennis is one player who has already gone out on loan, joining League Two outfit Doncaster Rovers last week.

While the Reds are not planning on sending Collyer or Moorhouse on loan, there are reports about various other young talents being available for a move this month.

Ethan Wheatley and Ethan Williams are both available for loan, with the latter being close to securing a move this week.

Meanwhile, Dan Gore and Harry Amass are also being eyed for temporary exits this month to experience first-team football.
