“So much quality…” – Patrick Dorgu praises two Manchester United teammates after Real Sociedad win

Patrick Dorgu praised two of his Manchester United teammates after a comfortable win over Real Sociedad on Thursday night.
Manchester United secured a spot in the Europa League quarter-finals with a 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad in the second leg of their round-of-16 tie.
The match started poorly for United as Sociedad won an early penalty, converted by Mikel Oyarzabal.
However, a matter of minutes later Rasmus Højlund won a penalty at the other end, which Bruno Fernandes calmly slotted home.
In the second half, Fernandes added another from the spot after Patrick Dorgu won a third penalty of the game, before completing his hat-trick with a terrific strike.
Diogo Dalot sealed the win with a late goal, capping off a dominant performance for Ruben Amorim’s side.
Dorgu praises two United teammates
United fans were treated to a game where their team had a very good performance. Barring that first 10 minutes, the Reds were excellent.
Fernandes won the Man of the Match – understandably so – but there were so many other impressive performances, including that of Dorgu.
The 20-year-old January signing had a major impact at left-wingback, where passes kept being played out to him.
After the game, Dorgu sang the praises of both Fernandes and Casemiro, who make it “easy” to play with their quality to be able to find his runs.
“It’s obviously nice to play with these players. They have so much quality on the ball and it’s easy for other players to connect with them,” Dorgu told club media when asked about the midfield duo.
“They are finding me well, and I will keep doing it. When you play with good teammates who can find you in behind to your feet, it’s easy to play.”
Amorim’s Casemiro decision paid off massively
It was a bold decision for Amorim to stick with Casemiro over the returning Manuel Ugarte but it was one that paid off massively.
The Brazilian was outstanding on the night and received a standing ovation from the Old Trafford crowd when he was replaced by Toby Collyer towards the end of the game.

While the 33-year-old is certainly no longer at his best, it feels like the pace and speed of play in the Europa League allows him to flourish like when he first joined the club.
Amorim’s side will be desperate to win this competition and Casemiro could be an important part if they’re going to do that.
