Sergio Reguilón opens up on Manchester United spell amid major Erik ten Hag boost vs Wigan
Following the announcement that he will return to his parent club Tottenham Hotspur, Sergio Reguilón has thanked Manchester United for his time at the club.
Having started just once in December, the decision was made for the six-time capped Spanish international to return to Spurs.
Though he failed to secure a permanent position at Old Trafford, Reguilón was a popular figure amongst the United supporters.

Posting on his social media accounts, the Spanish defender thanked both the fans and the club for their support during his four-month spell with the club.
“It has been great to play for Manchester United,” Reguilón wrote. “And I just want to say thank you to the club, the fans and my teammates.”
“It was a privilege to play for this huge club. I wish all the best for the Red Devils.”
Despite the news of Reguilón’s return to Spurs, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has still seen his defensive options increase.
The Dutchman will have been delighted to see both Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez make their return to training on Thursday morning, with both recovering from extended periods on the sidelines.
Ten Hag will no doubt be hoping that the duo will be able to make their return to the starting XI for Monday night’s FA Cup trip to the DW Stadium against Wigan.
