Sekou Kone sends four-word message to ex-teammate after Manchester United exit confirmed

Manchester United youngster Sekou Kaba has departed the club for Cardiff City after the move was announced this week.
Sekou Kaba, 17, had only made three appearances for Manchester United’s Under-18s side and has now moved permanently to Cardiff City.
The teenager decided to make the decision to join the Championship outfit in the January window, and the transfer had been delayed until this week.
Kaba also seemed to be one of the young Academy stars to help Sekou Kone settle into his new life at United.
Kone, 19, was signed from Mali club Guidars FC in the latest summer transfer window and United made sure to be careful with his integration, giving him time to adapt to Manchester.
It was previously reported that United helped Kone settle in by encouraging relationships with other young players. Kone was spotted at Old Trafford alongside Kaba to watch United’s 7-0 win over Barnsley earlier in the season.
Kone sends message to departing Kaba
Speaking on his new adventure at Cardiff, Kaba said: “It’s a brilliant club with amazing fans. I can’t wait to get started and I’m very happy to be here.
“I can’t really describe the feeling, it’s a great day for me and my family. I’m excited to meet my teammates and play in front of the fans.
“These kind of days are huge. When the opportunity comes, you just have to enjoy the moment. I’m very excited to sign for the club.”
Kone, who is now one of the players pushing for potential first-team involvement before the end of the season, sent a message to Kaba after his move was announced.
The 19-year-old uploaded an Instagram story with a picture of Kaba holding his Cardiff shirt, captioned: “Good luck my brother.”

Kone pushing for United first-team
With Kaba likely to try and push forward into Cardiff’s first-team side, Kone will be wanting to do the same at Old Trafford.
He was named on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur and Everton last month but was unable to get any minutes on the pitch in either of those games.
Even if a debut does not come this season, Kone is well placed to push himself into Ruben Amorim’s mind ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Some reports have claimed that the deep lying midfielder will be included in Amorim’s squad for the upcoming pre-season tour.
