Ruben Amorim tells second Manchester United star to leave with Alejandro Garnacho, he already has an agreement

Ruben Amorim has told two Manchester United players, including Alejandro Garnacho, that they can leave the club this summer.

Manchester United’s season ended the second the full time whistle went in Bilbao earlier this week, although they have a near-pointless Premier League game to play against Aston Villa this weekend.

After that, attention turns to the summer and how the club can fix Ruben Amorim’s problems, particularly with adding new players to the squad.

More importantly, however, is the ability for many player exits to happen to generate extra cash and also have a much-needed clear-out of the squad.

Despite the game on the weekend coming up, Amorim has already started to work on those departures and telling players to find a new club.

It was revealed by David Ornstein on Saturday afternoon that Amorim informed the United squad that he will remain in charge next season.

The United boss also told Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club this summer after the 20-year-old criticised the manager for not starting him in the Europa League final.

Garnacho believes that other Premier League clubs will be interested in him, while there is also expected to be Saudi Pro League clubs in the conversation.

It has also been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Amorim has met with Victor Lindelöf this week to tell the Swede that the club are not planning to extend his contract, which ends next month.

The experienced defender has agreed with that decision and is attracting interest from within Europe in Italy and Spain.

United must act fast this summer

Matheus Cunha is on the verge of being signed, and that is a good step as United look to make signings quickly this summer.

But they also need to ensure that players leave the club and they are not left waiting until the last week of the window with unwanted players still at Old Trafford.

Communicating that decision clearly to Garnacho now is a positive and hopefully he finds a new club early on in the summer window so United can use the money for new signings.

The club will be expecting to get at least £50 million for the winger and that would be pure profit for the club and a major help in the transfer market.
