Ruben Amorim has received a staggering £23 million update on one Manchester United star and he will show ‘no mercy’ going in the transfer market.

Rúben Amorim has experienced a mixed start to his tenure at Manchester United, securing two wins from his first five matches.

The team has displayed both strengths and weaknesses as they work to adapt to the 39-year-old’s preferred style of play.

Amorim is currently evaluating the squad to determine which players align with his tactical vision and long-term plans at Old Trafford.

Multiple outlets have claimed that the Portuguese boss will need to sell players in order to buy more talent for his squad in upcoming windows.

According to a new report from MailSport, the Reds now value Antony at around £23 million just over two years after he signed for more than £80 million from Ajax.

It has been a dreadful signing for United and it is now one that can’t really even provide Amorim with significant funds to reinvest into the squad.

For Amorim, that price tag is a staggering reminder of the challenge at Old Trafford and how the wastefulness in the recent past will make it an even tougher job for him.

Nevertheless, the United boss and the club’s hierarchy are reportedly prepared to be ruthless with the Brazilian winger.

New reports from El Nacional claim that Amorim will have ‘no mercy’ with players who he feels are not at the necessary level to help United going forward.

Antony is one player who Amorim does not rate, the report adds, and he will be available for transfer in the upcoming windows.

Antony has played a total of 71 minutes in Amorim’s first five games in charge and failed to impress in that time.

With Amad Diallo playing so well at right wingback and the no.10 positions filled with potential options, it’s hard to see how Antony gets any consistent minutes to change Amorim’s mind.
