Pundit claims Rúben Amorim must change Man Utd star’s role as he “doesn’t suit” new position
Rúben Amorim has been told he must change one Manchester United star’s position following the 1-1 Premier League draw against Ipswich Town.
Rúben Amorim’s first game in charge of Manchester United ended in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
United took an early lead when Marcus Rashford scored just two minutes in, capitalising on a superb run and cross from Amad Diallo.

Ipswich equalized moments before half-time, with Omari Hutchinson curling a stunning effort into the top-left corner, helped by a slight deflection off Noussair Mazraoui.
André Onana was the standout performer for United, making several vital saves to ensure the spoils were shared at full-time.
Garnacho’s role must change
Following the display, many took to analysing the new positions that multiple United stars played, with those such as Rashford, Noussair Mazraoui, and Amad all figuring out new roles.
Former United academy player and Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage had his say on one man in particular, feeling that Alejandro Garnacho suffered in the system.
Garnacho played as a left attacking midfielder, tucking in behind Rahsford alongside Bruno Fernandes, but was largely ineffective.
“I don’t think Ruben Amorim’s system suits Alejandro Garnacho,” Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“He was used as one of the number tens. I think he is better as one of the wing-backs.”
Rotation will happen
Speaking to the press after the result, Amorim explained that United will have to rotate a lot in order for the players to have ample time to train and understand the new ideas and tactics that he wants to implement.
“Everybody’s going to play, and everybody’s going to be on the bench,” Amorim said. “So they have the feeling of the game, but they need to train.
“With this schedule, we need to rotate the team So we’ll try to use that to train, to improve the team, and to win matches So that’s the point.
“Without time, we have to find the time, and I think this is the only way. Some of the guys are going to play, some of the guys on the next day will work on our idea, and then they will change the position.”
