Rúben Amorim makes “clear” transfer decision on Marcus Rashford and struggling Manchester United forward
Rúben Amorim has reportedly “made it clear” that he does not want to sell two Manchester United stars in the upcoming transfer windows.
Manchester United are starting to outline their 2025 transfer plans under the guidance of new head coach Rúben Amorim.
Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag, who departed after leaving the club 14th in the Premier League and 21st in the Europa League, despite spending over £200 million during the summer window.

With a more restricted budget ahead, United will focus on Amorim’s ability to develop the current squad.
Though January signings are unlikely, preparations for summer reinforcements are already underway, with player sales expected to fund new additions.
Two transfer decisions
As much as the focus in the media remains on who Amorim and the leadership team will bring in in 2025, there is also a conversation to be had about who may be sold.
Christian Eriksen is expected to depart in the summer, while others such as Joshua Zirkzee and Casemiro also face the chopping block.
However, according to CaughtOffside’s Mark Brus, two stars who will not be departing any time soon are Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Højlund.
The United attacking duo, who have struggled in front of goal this season, will not leave Old Trafford, with Amorim having “made it clear” that the pair are to stay at the club.
The report states that Amorim is “keen” to keep both players and work to get the best out of both of them in his 3-4-3 system.
Improvement is needed
Speaking to the media following United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, Amorim stressed that he is keen to get to know his players and remind them to believe in themselves over the coming months.
“They are intelligent and they have to believe in that,” he explained.
“And they have to believe and remember they are good players, and they have to enjoy, so we will try to do that, giving information, trying to help them.
“It’s important for me to know the players – what they like to do, what they are capable of doing, and we need time to find that. Today was not a good result, but we will improve in the future.”
