Ruben Amorim has decided against including Amad in the Manchester United travelling squad for their Europa League clash with Athletic Bilbao.
Manchester United have struggled to find consistency this season, with the Europa League now representing their best opportunity to secure silverware and earn a route back into the Champions League.
Ruben Amorim’s team remains the only unbeaten side in European competition this season, having dispatched both Real Sociedad and Olympique Lyonnais in the knockout rounds to reach the semi-finals.
Now, they face off against Athletic Bilbao, who are currently sitting fourth in La Liga. The first leg will be played in Spain later this week, with the return fixture set for the following Thursday at Old Trafford.
In preparation for the trip to Bilbao, United held an open training session at Carrington on Wednesday morning. Amad and Matthijs de Ligt were both involved as they returned to full fitness.

Following on from that session, Amorim confirmed the 26-man travelling squad for the upcoming game before the Reds jetted off to Spain.
The United boss has been able to include both Matthijs de Ligt and Amad in the travelling squad after their return from injury.
The Ivorian may only be on the bench but his return is a huge boost for the Reds in this game.
Amorim has also included several youth stars in his squad, with Chido Obi, Sekou Kone and Bendito Mantato among those involved as there will be a training session held in Spain on Friday.
Luke Shaw is also travelling after completing 90 minutes for the first time in over a year against Bournemouth, although it has been suggested that he won’t start the game.
