Manchester United have been told what it would take to sign a Brazilian future star after the teenager has excelled in South America.
Manchester United invested heavily in their attacking depth in the previous transfer window, securing the signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško to bring more goals to an underperforming United side.
While United still aren’t at the level they would be hoping for, the summer signings have improved United’s attacking numbers. They have already scored 33 goals in the Premier League this season, following just 44 in the league last season.
Rúben Amorim saw many departures in the summer, with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Rasmus Hojlund all starting a new chapter away from Old Trafford.
A new talent has emerged on United’s radar to potentially supply some depth and competition to the front line as they hunt down a Champions League finish in the Premier League.
His current condition in Brazil has been revealed as a move looks to be in the works.
United show interest in Rayan
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that 19-year-old right-sided forward Rayan has emerged in INEOS’s search for young South American talents this winter.
According to Diario AS journalist, Eduardo Burgos, United are prepared to spend a significant amount of money to bring the teenager to Manchester.
He disclosed via his X page that he has a release clause in his contract of £70 million, which is a greater fee than United paid for their current striker, Šeško.
He stated, “AC Milan, Manchester United and several Saudi Arabian clubs are monitoring Rayan’s situation. Vasco da Gama refers to its buyout clause, valued at 80M€ (£70m). A move now seems more than complicated. It is expected to progress by summer.”
United’s recent track record of bringing in young South American talents would give optimism towards the fans with the signings of Diego Leon and Cristian Orozco in United’s recent searches.
What Rayan could bring to Man United
The left footer secured 14 goals in 34 games for Vasco de Gama in Brazil’s top flight, Serie A, showing elite driving towards goal, clean shot power and clinical finishing ability.
The teenager shows composure and maturity on the pitch, making it hard to believe that he is so young. With a strong frame and eagerness to get on the ball, the young star could be perfect for Amorim.

With the future of Joshua Zirkzee in doubt, alongside concerns over Chido Obi’s place in the first team, the opportunity for Rayan to make a mark in the senior side could be major.
Rayan also has the versatility which has become such an admirable trait in the current game, operating in Brazil both as a right winger and as a striker, so he could become an option in the absence of injuries to many United forwards.
