Revealed: 12 Man United players that Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to sell this summer
According to a new report, Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has informed each member of the Red Devils’ squad whether or not INEOS will be keeping them at the club.
Though it is unclear whether Erik ten Hag will still be the Manchester United manager this summer, whoever the Red Devils’ head coach is will have to deal with a significantly different squad.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that twelve players within the United squad have been informed that they may be sold this summer.
Across the United squad, each position is set to undergo rapid transformation this summer, as the majority of the squad has been deemed sellable assets.
The most surprising name on the list is Marcus Rashford, with the Manchester-born-and-bred forward reportedly being informed that United are willing to sell the attacker if an appropriate bid is made.
With PSG previously raising their interest in the Englishman, a summer move could be on the cards if United receives a bid of at least £75 million.
Elsewhere in the attack, Facundo Pellistri, Antony, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho have been edged towards the Old Trafford exit door. Of those four names, only Antony could come as a surprise to fans of the Red Devils, with the remaining three names all expected to leave for some time.
In the midfield, United are believed to have no intentions of keeping Sofyan Amrabat at the club past the end of his loan spell with the team. Christian Eriksen has been vocal in his disappointment at his game-time this season, whilst a move to Saudi Arabia for Casemiro would allow United to bring in some much-needed funds.
Finally, three defenders in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have all been informed they will be sold at the right price. With Raphael Varane’s contract coming to an end forcing his exit.
Though much of the current squad is believed to be on the chopping block, ten names are believed to have been assured of their place within the Red Devils squad.
2023 summer signings Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana are all believed to be staying at the club past their first season.
Elsewhere club stalwarts, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes will be seeing out next season at Old Trafford.
With INEOS believed to be prioritising the long-term future of the club, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Willy Kambwala have all been identified as vital parts of the club’s plans going forward.
