Raphaël Varane has sent Vinicius Jr a strong, supportive message after the Real Madrid star broke down during a press conference over racist abuse questions.
Raphaël Varane has always shown that he is a class act both on and off the field. The Manchester United defender recently sent FIFA a warning, saying he will be watching to see if they make good on their promises.
on Monday evening, Real Madrid star forward Vinicius Junior broke down crying in a press conference while speaking about his continuing battle against racist abuse – and for a 23-year-old to have to face such hatred is despicable.

Speaking to reporters after multiple questions about racism, Vinicius said, “I just want to play football. But it’s getting harder and harder to focus—sometimes I just don’t feel like playing anymore.”
Speaking further, Vinicius said: “Playing football is very important, but the fight against racism is very important. May people of colour have a normal life. If this was the case, I would go to my club’s games focused only on playing. The only thing I want is to keep playing and that everyone has a normal life.”
Vini’s former Real Madrid team-mate and now United defender Raphael Varane took to social media to share his message of support. His post read: “You are powerful. You are special Vini. Your dreams and inspiration are stronger than any words that can ever be used against you.”
Manchester United could do with a winger such as Vinicius Jr at Old Trafford right now. After a slow start to his career in Madrid, he has proven himself to be a deadly winger with seriously impressive output for both club and country.
