Manchester United defender Raphaël Varane has applauded three of the club’s younger players for their impact this season.

Speaking to the Premier League side’s website for their Teamviewer Diaries feature, Varane took the time to praise three of United’s future stars.

Varane would highlight Rasmus Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Willy Kambwala as three United players deserving of acclaim.

Praising Højlund’s goal output of late, Varane would single out the Dane’s goal against West Ham as one moment the team was fully behind him.

“Everyone was very happy with that goal,” Varane said of Højlund’s goal. “He [has] worked very hard in the last few weeks to score. Hopefully, he can build confidence from that goal, and do even better scoring more at the end of the season.”

Discussing fellow forward Garancho’s impact, Varane would again highlight how United’s youngster-heavy frontline has grown as the season has gone on, providing the club with vital goals.

“I think he’s scoring important goals, and he’s doing a great job,” Varane said on Garnacho. “He’s helping the team, and hopefully, he can continue like that for the next few months into the end of the season.”

Finally, the central defender, who was a World Cup winner with France in 2018, expressed how impressed he has been with his fellow countryman Kambwala, who has been a less talked-about starlet in comparison to the coverage of Garnacho, Højlund, and Kobbie Mainoo.

“He shows his qualities,” Varane noted. “I think in the future, he will play more games and keep improving. I think he’s still very young, but he shows his qualities. We [place our] trust in him, and he has a great future.”
