Manchester United are returning to Premier League action as they prepare to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.

Manchester United are heading to London on fine form, having scored ten goals across their last two fixtures.

Erik ten Hag‘s men dispatched Southampton in the Premier League last weekend before trouncing Barnsley 7-0 in the Carabao Cup third round.

They will now turn their attention back to the Premier League as they travel to face Crystal Palace. They sit 16th in the table and have yet to win a game in the competition.

However, Selhurst Park was the site of Ten Hag’s most embarrassing defeat last campaign, where the Reds were thrashed 4-0 towards the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

The referees for the tie have been confirmed.

Match officials

David Coote (pictured below) will referee on Saturday at Selhurst Park. Last season, Coote officiated two Manchester United fixtures, with Ten Hag’s side winning both.

First, he was responsible for United’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Newport Country, which United won 4-2. Then, a month later, he officiated the 2-1 win over Luton away from home as Ramsus Højlund grabbed both goals.

Nick Hopton and Craig Taylor will be on the sidelines, acting as Coote’s assistant referees during the game. Darren Bond has been handed the fourth official job, separating Erik ten Hag and Oliver Glasner on Saturday evening.

Chris Kavanagh has been appointed as the video assistant referee. Akil Howson will act as assistant VAR.
