Premier League confirm referees for Manchester United, with Sheffield United unfortunate
The Premier League have confirmed who will take charge as Manchester United host Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
Erik ten Hag‘s men have won just one of their last seven Premier League matches, collecting a grand total of 6 points from a possible 21. This has them well and truly out of the race for Champions League qualification.
Late goals conceded against Brentford, Chelsea, and Liverpool have left Manchester United seventh in the league. On Wednesday evening, they will welcome a struggling Sheffield United to Old Trafford.

Sheffield United have just 16 points this season, sitting rock bottom in 20th place and sitting 10 points off safety. They are all but relegated.
Confirmed officials
Michael Salisbury (pictured below) will referee Sunday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium. The experienced referee has overseen only one United game this season.
This came during the club’s opening round of the Carabao Cup when United defeated Crystal Palace. Goals from Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro, and Anthony Martial secured the win for Ten Hag’s club.
Eddie Smart and Derek Eaton will be on the sidelines, acting as Salisbury’s assistant referees during the game. Paul Tierney has been handed the fourth official job, separating Erik ten Hag and Chris Wilder on Wednesday night.
Michael Oliver has been handed the video assistant referee job, with whom Natalie Aspinall will assist. Oliver was the man who refereed United’s win over Sheffield earlier this season, unfortunately for the visitors.
