Player Ratings: Wolves vs Manchester United (Premier League)
Manchester United won 4-3 against Wolves in the Premier League as Kobbie Mainoo scored a last-minute winner.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring after a controversial week and questions over him starting the game. The Englishman then fed Luke Shaw, who went on to assist Rasmus Højlund for the second goal.
Erik ten Hag‘s side conceded a soft penalty but then Scott McTominay regained their two-goalk lead.
Two late Wolves goals seemed like it cost The Reds the game until Mainoo’s incredible winning goal.
The full player ratings after below.
André Onana – 6/10
Dodgy moments.
Diogo Dalot – 8.5/10
Brilliant. Key in a lot of the good from United in the first half.
Raphaël Varane – 7.5/10
Some very important interceptions.
Lisandro Martínez – 7/10
Played quite safe, kept things ticking, good performance.
Luke Shaw – 7.5/10
Great running on the overlap and deserved assist. Did well defensively when often double-teamed.
Casemiro – 7/10
A very poor challenge early on earned him a yellow card. But he was excellent afterwards up until his toenail skimmed the Wolves player for the penalty.
Kobbie Mainoo – 10/10
He’s absolutely unbelievable. What a kid. Man of the Match. No other words.
Bruno Fernandes – 6.5/10
Not his best display. Some great passes but also was wasteful and could’ve helped put the game away.
Alejandro Garnacho – 7.5/10
Looks so much better from the right at the moment. Created some good chances.
Rasmus Højlund – 8.5/10
Give him service, and he will score. Goal and assist. He’s kicking into gear. A disallowed goal too.
Marcus Rashford – 8/10
Oh god, what are some journalists going to write now?! Brilliant first half after what must’ve been a tough week following his nightclub mishap. Beautiful opener and instrumental in the second. Dangerous all first half. More quiet in the second.
Subs:
Antony – 2/10
Almost gave away the result. Two sloppy giveaways for two goals.
McTominay – 8/10
Great goal and impact.
Harry Maguire – N/A
Omari Forson – N/A
Got the game-winning assist, even if Mainoo did a lot of the work.
